August 31st Beginning Watercolor

Taught by SAIC art student Camille Buren, this 2 hour workshop will be on Sunday from 10:30am-12:30pm.

This will be an introductory watercolor session, with emphasis on learning the fundamental techniques of the medium, including color mixing for watercolor, transparency & layering.

Once a basis of understanding is developed there is room for experimentation due to the fluid nature of watercolor paint.

We can play with colored pencils on top to give your paintings some structure.

Your final artwork will be a combination of the various techniques you learn in the class. An animal subject is useful (but not mandatory). KNOWING HOW TO DRAW IS ALSO NOT REQUIRED, tracing paper will be plentiful :)
