April 26 Playing with Ink & Water

The ink is black. The paper is white. Water forms a surface for the ink to dance on. We'll explore how the ink and water interact, taking whatever strokes we make and giving them a life of their own. Surprising forms arise on the paper - an interaction of our intentions and the nature of the materials. Come and Explore.

We'll be using sumi ink on mineral paper.
